Sophie Neville
After starring in two feature films as a girl, Sophie gained an Honours degree in Anthropology and went into television production, working on leading BBC dramas such as My Family and Other Animals’, 'Doctor Who’, and ‘Eastenders’. She went on to produce an 'Inset' series and direct a number of comedy dramas for BBC Education along with shorts for BBC TWO.
After making a documentary for Channel 4 in Kenya, she set up a 'Blue Peter' summer expedition in South Africa and wildlife films in Botswana and Namibia. Returning to the UK in 2004, she became president of ‘The Arthur Ransome Society’, an ambassador for SchoolReaders and has won a number of novel writing awards.
